Embrace Wonder

Winter invites us to slow down, yet the season often brings its own flurry of demands. Our thoughts may scatter—chasing after tasks, replaying the past, or worrying about the upcoming year. But yoga offers a gentle reminder: the present moment is where we find our true selves, waiting patiently amidst the noise.
This practice of self-awareness calls us back to the breath. Each exhale is an opportunity to release what weighs us down—old stories, lingering doubts, or the need to do it all. Each inhale invites us to step fully into the richness of now, reconnecting with the beauty that exists both within and around us.
As we navigate this season, I invite you to embrace moments of wonder. As Cole Arthur Riley reminds us in Black Liturgies "Beauty is our origin and our anchor", even, and maybe especially, in the face of challenges. In marveling at the small and extraordinary—a star-filled sky, a quiet breath—we reclaim parts of ourselves that extend beyond struggle and survival.
Let’s lean into this practice of wonder and liberation together. May each pause, each intentional breath, remind you that you are enough, just as you are, in this moment.
